WHO WE ARE ?
Akurana Women’s Welfare Association (AWWA) is a womens organization that caters primarily to the welfare of its members who are women from Akurana region. AWWA has a membership of 150 of whom some are active. It was founded in 1981.

AWWA undertook work under educational, health, environmental, small industries and vocational training, cultural, religious and social programmes. These projects were often done in collaboration with the AGA office, the Pradeshiya Sabhawa,
